Description
Fall of 2017 I had an opportunity to go to Estes Park, Colorado, entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. On this trip, I decided to grab my digitally converted infrared camera and toy with it while in the mountains. Upon arriving in Estes Park, I filled up my gas tank and headed straight into The Rockies. Being a typical tourist, I pulled off at all the possible locations to take in the majestic views. This included the storms racing down the mountainside. I shot the scenes using both color and infrared while editing the images I fell in love with the infrared as it accentuated the drama of the storms and landscape. The pine tree on the right captured my attention, so I took this shot focusing on the foreground as well as the backdrop. Looks like a painter came in brushed black across the mountains.
