Pine Edged road matte less

Sometimes the path in life is not clearly defined.  The only thing you can do is breathe deeply, put your faith in the universe, and take the first step.  Life’s road will have curves, enjoy them as they will bring you to wonderful places if you surrender.  Road trips allow my mind to wander and absorb what Mother Nature shows me.  I especially love watching the landscape change from mountains to desert; from city to Rolling country farms; brightly colored flowers to drab gray foggy scenes.  All of these are gifts from her, so give thanks.  Get out in nature and recharge your soul!

This year’s photograph Hint of Gold is framed in my Commando Photozaic.

Hint of Gold:

Robert Frost wrote this perfectly:  Nothing Gold Can Stay.  Nature’s first green is gold, her hardest hue to hold.  Her early leaf’s a flower; But only so an hour. Then the leaf subsides to leaf So Eden Sank to grief, so dawn goes down today.  Nothing gold can Stay.  This view recharges my soul, I love sitting on my parent’s shoreline watching the sunsets and June didn’t disappoint. There’s no better way to reflect on a beautiful day than watching the sunset, knowing tomorrow is going to be just as amazing.  I enjoy my time spent with Mom especially after Dad passed away a few years back.  It’s funny how life’s perspectives change after you lose a parent.  I know that someday my time witnessing these beautiful sunsets on my parent’s shoreline will end but they will forever be locked inside my heart.

I’m including just the image and framed version.

Lopresti and Deer Island Parks- Boston Area

Published

Yesterday I explored Lopresti and Deer Island Parks. Both are near Logon Airport but are amazingly quiet places to explore.  Lopresti Park is East of Boston, and you have great views of the skyline.  Deer Island Park has a huge wastewater treatment plant- LOL I felt at home!  For those of you that don’t know I’m a purchasing agent for a local government agency and my biggest internal customer of our wastewater treatment plants.  I didn’t know this until today after doing research for this post.  I was thankful the rain came in early allowing me to get these images and now the rain has come back in, so I was given a perfect window of opportunity.  It looks like the cooler weather is speeding up the fall color and I hope to post more images of fall tomorrow and later this week

Kangamangus Highway #112

Published

Yesterday’s drive along Kangamangus Highway was packed with people and not able to get the images I hoped.  I will say this area the colors were dry and not as vibrant.  I captured better shots last year but still wanted to see what else was around.  I found a few roads not far from Kangamangus Highway that I will explore later today.  As I write this post, I’m blessed to witness fog rolling down the mountain right outside my motel room. This collection of images are both color and infrared (black and white).
