The time is closing quickly at my time here on Duck Lake.  I enjoy every precious moment that I’ve been gifted with this beautiful view that offers peace and quiet bringing inner calm to anyone who needs it.  Life perspectives are ever changing, and I now notice more of the little pleasures’ life has to offer and give thanks.  The next chapter of life will be even more beautiful, filled with love and light as I’ve been given a sneak preview of what is to come.  My wish is for the next family to appreciate what they have here and have just as many happy memories as my family and I did.

Are you getting dizzy yet?  Can you feel the energy building as AAW approaches?

There is so much to see, do, and even make art this weekend, and for my out-of-state Peeps, it’s time to plan your visit to check us out!

Feel the art energy vibrating all weekend long- recharge your soul- be at peace- come to be loved- celebrate we are all one

Fun fact: The Northeast Minneapolis Arts District has won the “10 Best Reader’s Choice Travel Award” for #1 Arts District in the USA Today three times: 2015, 2022, and 2023.  That’s just #1 other years we’ve ranched in the top 10.

My studio is in The Solar Arts building

If art is not enough to pull you in, Indeed Brewery (1st floor) has BEER, AND BANDS playing all weekend long.. still not enough?? Well then you are a princess and feel nothing will ever be enough for you!  All others come and hang out with me and hear about my processes of creating my Commando photozaics- will also demonstrate my art too.  I will be debuting a few new works as well.

Passports on Parade- Winner!

Published

Kareen, the winner of Passports on Parade, decided on the artwork she wanted, and I’m blessed to announce it was one of my works, a Formal photozaic Titled Gateway to Racepoint Beach.

The back story on Passports on Parade can be found here:

Gateway to Racepoint Beach

Gateway can offer up an over welcoming feeling of “come on in”.  This scene offers that feeling with a side of warning to those that don’t pay attention to their environment.  I don’t mind the locals and will respect their home.  If I’m not meant to be in the ocean I will sit quietly on the shore watching  a movie of waves play on repeat for my pleasure.

Guess what time it is…. That’s right!  Art-a-Whirl!

Just two weeks away.

I’m blessed to announce I’m officially renting studio space at Solar Arts Building, second-floor studio #205.  I share this space with 3 other artists, and I am happy to have a home here at Solar!

Details on AAW

Solar arts building: https://solarartsbuilding.com/solar-arts-building-events/

Dates: May 17th– through 19th.

I will also have a piece or two in Fox Den – under Art to change the world.

ACW: https://www.arttochangetheworld.org/mission/

This year I’m participating in Passports on Parade this weekend too! Check out the website for more details and how to get your passport- there is a limited amount so do not hesitate.

I call it a scavenger hunt for artists’ stamps in the passport.  Why do this?  Opportunities to learn about the artist and their visions, see great art, and win $500.00 credit to spend on ACW artwork!  I know, AWESOME!

Side note:

My stamp is CheeBah approved!  Who doesn’t love a Corgi??

Below are some samples you will see this weekend.
